Janice gets total credit for coming up with this one! Only she was aware of the correlation between Post Toasties and going postal. The behavioral science unit at Quantico could learn a lot from her, and you will too in this episode of The Agenda!

One of the best things about these episodes is that we discover new things about each other, like Janice’s fascination with breakfast food and my deep bench of serial killer stats.

We wanted to make sure you were up to date on your cereal and serial killer history, so we created a little cheat sheet for you…

Jack the Ripper is not, historically speaking the world’s first serial killer. However, as far as I’m concerned, the first to gain notoriety by writing to the local press be embraced by the news of the day to amplify his crimes, creating the archetype for the modern serial murderer.

Granula, the world’s first cereal was invented by Dr. James Caleb Jackson (it’s got to be good for you, the guy’s a doctor!), who thought sicknesses were based in the digestive system, and experimented with cold cereal as a cure for illness.

Using cornmeal, wheat flour and oatmeal he concocted this popular glop. It gave its inventor enough money to open a health spa, which was probably necessary for curing the indigestion generated by this breakfast monstrosity.

So pull up a chair to the kitchen table and pour yourself a box of Froot Loops, while we wait for the coroner’s report in this episode of The Agenda! - GH
